In an earlier post, I shared some news from PMI concerning the transition to the updated PMP Exam that commences on August 31. If a Student takes the PMP Exam in the period of Aug 31 through mid-October, that Student will not receive immediate
feedback on the results. You won’t know if you’ve passed or failed.
The Certification Department of PMI issued an update to clarify the communication. During this transition period, this is the message a Student will see after taking the PMP Exam:
“You have completed your PMP exam. Please note: Official score results will not
be issued immediately for this Project Management Professional (PMP)®
examination. As mentioned in previous communications, PMI holds results for the
PMP examination for up to 4-6 weeks after an examination change. Your results
will be available approximately 4-6 weeks after the examination change date of
31 August 2011. You will be sent an e-mail when the results become available.
For further questions, please visit the PMP webpage at http://www.pmi.org/Certification/Project-Management-Professional-PMP/Updates-to-PMP-Certification-Exam.aspx.”
That’s the latest news – be sure to share this update with friends and co-workers who are prepping for the exam now. Encourage them to get it done before August 31!
