Who is PMI and what is the PMBOK® Guide?
PMI is the world’s leading not-for-profit membership association for the project management profession. The PMBOK® (Project Management Body of Knowledge) Guide is the internationally recognized standard guide to the fundamentals of project management as applied to a wide range of projects.
Why is project management certification important?
PMI’s certifications are recognized internationally as the benchmark for project management expertise, delivering the respect, opportunity and compensation that goes with the achievement.
What kinds of certifications are available?
PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP®)® credential is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers.
PMI’s Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®)® is a valuable entry-level certification for project practitioners with less project experience.
How do I become PMP® certified?

What is your exam pass rate?
Velociteach has a 98% pass rate. Our students are better prepared for their exams than those using other programs and the majority of them return to Velociteach to earn their PDUs.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Velociteach offers a 100% guarantee. If you don’t pass the PMP® exam the first time, we will create a custom study plan for you. If you haven’t passed the exam after three attempts within a year of taking the Velociteach PMP® Prep Course, we will refund 100% of your course tuition.
What PM training options does Velociteach provide and how do I decide which one is right for me?
The most assured way of passing the PMP® Exam the first time is to take a live class, which includes Andy Crowe’s Pass the PMP® Exam textbook, course workbook, CD and flash card study tools, access to the InSite e-learning course, and other essential classroom materials. This fully-interactive 3-day course, taught by a PMP-certified instructor, is offered in both live-venue and live-online settings and is backed by our 100% guarantee (see details above).
For the self-starter seeking a more flexible study tool, InSite is a great option. Delivered through our proprietary e-learning platform, this exam preparation system monitors your progress, acts as a virtual coach, and contains over 600 practice questions. Two other practice-test courses, each containing 200 additional questions, are available for separate purchase as well. A free InSite trial is included with purchase of the PMP® Exam book.
How much does each of these options cost?
InSite subscription times and prices vary: $189 for 1 month, $259 for 3 months, or $299 for 6 months.
The Velociteach PMP® Exam book, The PMP® Exam: How to Pass on Your First Try, is $99.
Will my company pay for it?
This is at your company’s discretion. Companies that choose to pay for or reimburse employees may send their employees to public classes or choose to offer onsite classes for multiple students.
What are the location and dates of public classes?
Live classes for the public are available in many locations across the country and throughout the year. Check class locations and schedules here.
If you are unable to attend a public class, private classes are also available to be taught at your company’s location.
How frequently are the materials updated?
Exam preparation materials are updated regularly to keep them in line with the changing PMBOK® standards and to improve materials.
For the live training class, is 3 days long enough?
Our extensive experience with the best way to prepare students for the PMP® Exam is that 3 days is the perfect length. Any longer, and students are pushed to the point of fatigue and over-saturation. Any less time and there isn’t enough time to cover the material. Our students leave the course ready to take the exam immediately.
How do I maintain my certification?
Velociteach offers a number of classes, live and online via InSite, that provide an affordable way to earn PDU credits and maintain your certification over three years.
Can I use materials for my own training class?
Yes, these materials, as well as full support from Velociteach, are available for Registered Education Providers (REPs) with our ProQuip package, which provides our PMP® Exam book, flash cards, workbook and reference guide, along with 6-months of InSite access.
Is there a licensing fee for these materials?
Although other training providers may charge an ongoing licensing fee to their Registered Education Providers, Velociteach does not.
