9 Teams – 6 Universities – 1 Goal: compete with other Students to showcase your knowledge of the industry standard for project management!
The IPMT this weekend is the 3rd annual Intercollegiate Project Management Triathlon. The event was conceived by Dr. Kathy Hartzel and hosted here at Duquesne University. During the weekend event, teams and individuals will compete to answer questions and solve a project management scenario or case study.
We (Velociteach) have been the key sponsor each year. This year, Louis has dedicated his time and talents to write a bank of questions for use during the various rounds of competition by the teams. And, I have the pleasure of delivering the questions to contestants, watching them squirm, and turning over any disputes to the panel of volunteer judges from the local Pittsburgh PMI Chapter! This is going to be a blast!
Special thanks to Andy, my boss…the CEO of Velociteach. By initiating a company policy, Andy promoted our participation in not-for-profit events like this IPMT. Andy has directed our staff to spend up to 5% of our work time each month giving back to events like this, or other charitable organizations, such as volunteer firefighters, homeless shelters, Toys-for-Tots, and other worthy causes.
