Can Instructors retake the PMP® exam each year?

No.  Don’t be fooled by those who claim they retake the PMP®^® exam each year.  The concept sounds appealing.  After all, wouldn’t it be great if your instructor had access to the actual exam on a regular basis?  But, the claim is bogus.  PMI^®  does not allow that practice.

The Certification Department at PMI^® (http://www.pmi.org/) states that any such claim of re-testing on the PMP® exam is absolutely false.  If someone who is already a PMP® attempts to retake the exam, that person would be violating PMI’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

So, if an instructor tells you that he is able to take the exam annually, don’t walk away – run!
