Andy Crowe, CEO and Founder of Velociteach, is one of, if not the first, authors of an upcoming PMI-ACP exam prep book to become PMI-ACP Certified. The book, , is due out in February 2012. An advanced copy of the PMI- ACP book helped the Director of Training and an instructional designer at Velociteach successfully pass the PMI-ACP exam and gain their certification as well. Crowe is also author of the best-selling PMP exam book on the market today, The PMP Exam: How to Pass on Your First Try.

As a leader in the project management industry, Andy has a background in IBM’s Rational Unified Process, the founding framework for agile, gives him a unique grasp of the methodology. He looks to be one of, if not the only PMI-ACP exam prep author who has actually passed the exam and gained certification.

“I am really excited to be able to share the years of research and agile experience that have gone into creating this outstanding preparation book. I’ve taken the PMI-ACP exam, and the information and strategy presented in this guide will give project managers everything they will need to pass it and more,” Andy says.

Velociteach Director of Training, Bill Yates, and Instructional Designer, Louis Alderman, used an advance copy of Crowe’s book to pass the exam and become some of the very first PMI-Agile Certified Practitioners.

“The PMI-ACP exam is intimidating for many reasons…the certification test is new; there is no single body of knowledge (like an Agile equivalent of the PMBOK Guide); and the range of potential Agile topics and methodologies can be intimidating,” said Yates. “A project manager may have lots of experience with Agile teams but not know what to expect on the exam. Andy’s book cuts through the clutter and presents the key information. The book is laser-focused and is written in a way that you and I can understand. It worked for me… I studied the book, passed the exam, and earned the PMI-ACP certification.”
