Course Overview
This 2-day course begins by answering the question “what is project management” and defining its roles, history and dynamic industry profile. You’ll learn how to define the scope and goals of your project, how to create a schedule, draft a budget and integrate risk by anticipating what could go wrong.
Project Management Fundamentals is a great way to get your team on the same page, speaking the same language. This course will also focus on leadership components, such as communication excellence and the very essence of project management—knowing how to lead a team.
Case Study
This class utilizes a Case Study to provide hands-on learning of concepts. The class works through group activities and applies those tools on the Case Study. We debrief and learn from each other’s experience. There are also brainstorming/reflection sessions throughout the class with many opportunities for students to relate a concept to their specific projects.
Templates Included
Not only will the students each receive a course workbook and expert instruction in the class, but each student will also receive access to a Resource Center through InSite, our eLearning platform. In the Resource Center, there are numerous templates that are available to use on your actual projects. These templates include these and more:
